The latest edition of Big OrangE-Mail had links to the Latest UT Auction Listings, one of the is for a “Game Day Experience“. I clicked on it because I was curious. to see what a “Game Day Experience” would include. The first thing I noticed was the “opening bid” of $1000. I thought, for $1000 this is going to be good. I was quickly disappointed:
The Football Gameday Ticket Package includes:
– Four (4) tickets to Tennessee vs. Wyoming game on Sat.,11/08,
– Four (4) pre-game field passes,
– One (1) parking pass, – One (1) $40 concession voucher,
– Visit to the radio booth,
– and Four (4) football game programs.
Pre-games passes, not bad. A visit to the radio booth, um okay. But it doesn’t even say where the seats are located at. So it works out to be $250 per person. Regular tickets are $40 a piece (and are still available as of Nov 1st). $10 for the concession stand. I don’t know what the price of a football game program is because I never buy them – $5 each maybe? Parking usually costs us $10 (that would be $2.50 per person). So the radio booth visit and the pre-game field passes are worth a little less than $200 each?
Tell you what, throw in running through the T or maybe a game time sideline pass and it might be worth it.
